I recommend PortoArte u Maria Apartments. Very helpful and nice owner. Beautifully decorated (apartment on the 1st floor), clean, very well equipped, with a wonderful, green garden where you can drink coffee, eat breakfast, rest. It only took 20 minutes or a few minutes by bus to get to the center.
I love the apartment, we were on the ground floor. Wonderful old charm and nice garden. Location is quiet and in a really nice artist neighbourhood ;)
Apartamento bem restaurado mantendo a traça original. Cozinha bem equipada (até possui condimentos para as refeições). Quartos com camas confortáveis e ar condicionado. Mini preço perto do alojamento. A anfitriã muito atenciosa e disponível, sempre preocupada com o bem estar dos seus hóspedes. Recomendo.

Maria is the best host and she is very helpful. The apartment is well maintained, clean and has all the facilities you need. Its classic furniture its very desirable when every airbnb apartment is full with bland and minimalist Ikea consumeristic objects. We will definitely come back here.
